Rituals, Musings, and Misc

I felt like Amduscias and I should sing a song together to help flare down some tempers and emotions on a larger stage. I’ve meant to do it before today, but today is when it happened.

Normally, when we sing a song, it’s a hybrid ritual in that we do it together as a partial possession. It’s gathered, imprinted, and sent off. Today, though, he suggested I pack the song up into a candle. I don’t know why, but it was only me. I asked him to help direct it for me, hence the blood. I wouldn’t have needed the blood if it was only me.

In the Ritual Music vein, I really like this album. Single song presented.

Atrium Carceri also has one of my most useful ritual songs

Also own that album.

I’ve also been known to use them to trance out a bit at work, mostly to still be able to work, while reducing stress and connecting to energies that are more productive than the “oh fuck” sort.

Currently listening as I make dinner, because…why not?

While I’m at it, here’s another good one

Did you read the first letters vertically?

Al, I’m not that smart. Hold.on…

Ah, well, my first. Name starts with J, so that’s fair…

Well played. I.figured.it was either a reference to past targets or letting me know I’m next. All.good. But it slipping WAY over my head was gravy, good Sir. @UncleAl

I didn’t want to spam your thread, but every time I read those lyrics, I think of

Which I thought was cool and owned the album. But this entry was just…fuck yeah. Ritual porn central

Oh yeah.

Ah, they came. I wasn’t about to trust dollar store alcohol screen wipes for my ritual bloodletting…habit…

I’ll have to come up with a reason to use them.

Bit of a gut punch tonight.

I dedicate this to my young self, for getting me through that awful, abusive time. My adolescent self, that still stood strong despite the adversity at being who you needed to be. To my naïve, compassionate self in Iraq, who had no idea what was coming.

Thank you. All of you made me who I am, just as I will make who I will be. I trust I will live up to your examples.

Ah, I love results.

This person is now leaving our department and going into a department where a friend of mine, who she can’t really affect, will handle her. Not on my account. He has little tolerance for dumbassery. I don’t (and haven’t) said anything. Quite good.

But not quite enough for me. She’s a thread to others. GL agreed to keep it going and asked for some incense. My pleasure. Blooded, as requested.

I’ve heard this song before and it’s been nagging at me a bit since the last restless night of sleep. Strange dreams, of some people I knew from the past, some from the present, others I don’t know, but feel I do.

Most were either moral dilemmas or meeting something horrible, wherein the dream would reset back to the point of choosing, regardless of how intense or significant, until I had chosen all or most. Really strange stuff.

And this song was tugging at my memory. I hadn’t looked at the lyrics, but it seems a bit fitting now that I have. The contradictions, the conflicting feelings, the underlying tone of a conflicting responsibilities…

This is the clearest, most professional version. Wish I could buy it easily, but we know how that goes in this age of gatekeeping platforms.

Good song.

Spotify (if installed as a desktop app) allows you to play mp3 files from your local machine, which eventually sync to your Spotify phone app. If you have Spotify. And there may, maybe, allegedly exist some websites which turn youtube videos into audio-only files. Or so I’ve heard.

I know a website where you can do it. search up a song and it shows YouTube videos of the song too , in the mp3 format.

Thanks, @Veil @Celestia . I’ve used a converter before, but the artist doesn’t get paid that way. All right, gotta hit the road.

I respect that! I used to pirate a lot but completely gave that up some years ago.

Good luck on your travels!

Once again, I put Pazuzu right where someone will look as soon as they open the door, should they ignore the Do Not Disturb sign.

Met back up briefly with the Old One of the Forest yesterday and again today, with the orogonal entry here

I snagged a pear for him, but felt like it wasn’t enough. I’ll get more at some point this week, but he introduced me to another one earlier today, though it wasn’t “formal”, but more as a face/signature to recognize. I’ll meet him more formally later this week, I take it.

The strangeness of the woods I spoke of last time hasn’t returned and the dark, brooding nature of some of the pockets around here are something I embrace, rather than resist. It still feels good to me.

I feel there’s another Old One, bit the timing isn’t right and I’m not convinced I should meet it. I feel it, it feels me, but it’s a long ways away, way closer to Williamsburg than the backwoods area I’m in. He feels angry or angrier, which is why he’s closer to that area. Business to take care of and it has something to do with construction, both old and new. All I can pick up.

Haven’t really interacted with any of the land spirits here. They seem to keep to themselves. They’ll come around if they want to.

I met the other two formally while out on a walk yesterday. These were my offerings to them and the land spirits.

I have a prototype symbol for one, but it’s unfinished, technically. Putting it here for reference, in case the paper gets lost while I’m away from home. It will act as a calling symbol for the first one I met.

Can’t remember if I said it or not, but the second one looks lime a tall, slender Elm tree. He was more jovial, compared to the sense of brooding the first puts out.

The third reminds me of old, rotted wood - yellow, pitted, flaked off in places like birch bark, yet he feels strong as any steel. He was intense and part of this was his fixation on his current targets for that construction stuff. I don’t know why he decided to take a break and come over, but I was thankful.

This did break the ice with the land spirits and once that happened the Fae Queen from my area came by.

So, it was a really productive day yesterday. Quite a productive trip, really, but I don’t have the bandwidth to upload my photos here. I usually (frequently) save off my work on longer things here because the connection drops off every other minute.
