I hope i posted this at the right category so i wanted to work with hermes but i can’t meditate sadly nowadays as often because of studies and project in college so i get more busier. I was thinking if i could do other stuff other than meditation to work with him or any other spirits. Example: dedicating a drawing, listening to their hymn or enn while doing studies or project, writing a letter to them or him without having to burn it or discard it as i can’t do that in my dorm cause less freedom in the nun’s dorm. So can all of this examples be good for connecting to him or the other spirits also I’ll be very glad if anyone could also share their way of doing it without meditation or candle or incense so that i could use those method too or try to do it in my own way if that’s ok.
If your clairs are good then maybe yes. Because the main thing is receiving Gnosis.
You may receive it while listening to the enn or times when you zone out.
Goodluck.
That’s the problem I’m trying to develop my clairs by the help of this deities but sadly i don’t think it’s working and meditation only making it more tbh sadly boring nowadays and also less time to do it.
Yes those things are connecting. But they probably aren’t going to help open you up to anything unless there’s something else going on.
You asked for ways we connect that don’t involve candles and incense. I write poems. Also when I have the time I write posts for my site about the spirits I work with. I watch tv that lines up well with their energy or sometimes even feature a character with their name. I wear sigils and charmed jewelry/items around as well.
You can simply speak with them. Address them first by their names, and then say your prayer. I think prayers of praise and joy are quite appropriate to the Gods.
@ReyCuervo and @Veil do you think this is a possibility for pathworking and suggest ways forward for Midnight?
Chant!
I seem to be the only left-hand path person continually going on about it. And it works. Do it in a whisper, whilst walking the streets - great fun.
Create your very own evocation. It’s not that hard. Someone had to create the first evocation, so boldly continue that tradition. And keep notes in your Magickal Journal - even if you don’t know why, just yet.
Yes, that should work normally. I’ve already spoke a bit about it with her.
I don’t consider pathworking/visionary magick to require meditation as such, but it does require the ability to clear thoughts from your head and have free time to drop into, if not a deep trance or no-mind meditation, at very least a different and receptive state of mind. You can do pathworkings with your eyes open, but in my experience it’s not as intense or noteworthy or memorable as doing it under the same conditions of trance or meditation. With eyes open really I feel like it’s more of a soft evocation, if that makes sense. Like attracting their presence but nothing much deeper than that.
As far as other methods of working with them, I think you could certainly dedicate art or poetry to entities, you could sing to them or listen to songs that remind you of them, or you could (with some initial setup) train yourself NLP-style into having a specific gesture or action or sound that reminds you of them and ‘anchors’ their presence to you, kind of like a shortcut for evocation (but I’ve not tried this myself so can’t say how effective it is). And yes, you could write them letters.
Usually if you work long and closely enough with a spirit you can just mentally ping them and feel their presence or get their attention. That’s my experience anyway.
What if it’s a request or I’m sad?
Thank you
What’s O. N. A?
Can i pm you?
I might probably sound stupid but how do you patchwork and what is it?
I totally second this, and I’ll add it’s like a skill that gets easier to do with time. Seems like it’s easier to do with spirits you’ve had good experiences with In the past.
