Wandering in Darkness

Hi all,

I have tons I’d love to share and learn with you all, figured i would just make one place to keep it all for now. I also tend to rapidly work through many ideas, so i may randomly post about those as well.

Could Crowley’s “Aeon of Horus” be coming in ~3100 CE when the precession of the equinox will make Cepheus the pole constellation?

Does anyone know of an older use of a personal “inverted” pentagram? I know it was used in writing and such earlier, but not sure about a personal identifier.

Book Update

I’m over correcting. Where I once rushed I’ve become a terrible perfectionist on this book. I need to seek a balance, and I think a good way is to finish the book and just start on something fresh. A book always describes the knowledge of a moment in time, it should always be evolving and never “complete”, and my friends are helping me understand that. I especially think I should finish it before starting my masters this week, a “before philosophy program” work, then one after.

So today I’m doing edits and ordering a proof. Then I just review the proof, minor changes as needed, and publish! Otherwise I’ll just keep on tackling projects, adding them on, and die with an unfinished 10,000 page book.

No, thank you. Not just for the content you’re providing which is critical and unique, but this is life changing on my end. Especially 2 days before going back to school and doing philosophy.

I think my first podcast/video is going to be an FAQ/AMA type thing. Feel free to give some questions.

My group’s been leaning into the storm magic as the monsoon is so late here. Now California has its second hurricane in history coming and it will dumb cold rain here in AZ.

First phi class was a doozy. The professor/philosopher in question seem to argue this:

Even if a drug addict has second order desires to not use, they only have free will if they stop using.

I disagree. I think if the addict wants to not want to take drugs they are exercising free will even if they dont acheive that goal. The free will to self reflect and seek sobriety doesnt imply the freedom of action to actually get sober.

Similarly say i am imprisoned. My free will could be to engage with this forum, but i wouldnt have the freedom of action to do so. Meanwhile it seems she is arguing that I’d only have free will if i could actually engage on the forum from prison.

What do you think?

Had to laugh at ourselves last night. Having a big esoteric chat so busy you have to mute it sometimes is certainly not complaint worthy!

I’ve made a terrible mistake haha, going to be switching from Philosophy to Religion.

I agree! I think the idea is that the will does not overcome the desire of the drug addict. In that way, you might say they are fated to remain in their addiction. Perhaps that is what the professor meant?

100% agree. The quality of one’s will isn’t synonymous with their capacity to execute it.

I was going through old photos and found this mystery I had forgotten. I was camping in the woods and spent some of the time building the shrine you see in these pictures. I snapped several photos of it, which for some reason looking now are of strangely low quality compared to the pics around it. Either way one of the pictures I snapped was the glitched one you see below (a screenshot of the original, but originally unedited). I had completely forgotten about it before now as this was right before shit hit the fan in 2019/2020, both personally and globally.
