I remember! I’ll say, I would personally avoid calling upon a Planet for a specific magickal purpose when they are severely afflicted. But, I do pray to the Planets on their days regardless of them being afflicted, although this is in a more devotional manner. So, I’m sure the experience of people is mixed.
But I think the book’s usage of the Days with the Hours is interesting, because I don’t see traditional texts consider them together in the same way, as far as I’ve seen. But it also makes sense to me as a reasonable connection, with the Ruler of the Day, and the Ruler of any given Planetary Hour being as a kind of co-ruler. So I think it’s a pretty cool link and system. In any case, the book might also be good for ideas for prayers.
