Modern Invocations of the Individual Graces

Invocations of the Individual Graces

I wrote these invocations for the graces Aglaea, Euphrosyne, and Thalia, based on their lore. If you decide to try them, please post your experience below :+1:

Invocation of Aglaea :lotus:

Hail Aglaea, Adorned Beauty
Youngest of the Kharites!
Daughter of Heaven and Governance
Daughter of Sun and Frenzy
Granddaughter of the Ocean
Buxom bride of the strong-armed smith
Revered goddess of the shining veil
Illustrious Charity, fair and bright
Who makes rich our souls
Myrtle-crowned dancer
Of sunlit Orkhomenos
Whose light feet step to grace
Frolicking to our songs of revel
O Steward of Heaven’s rites
Who is beloved of poets’ song
Hear my rite this happy hour
Grant me longevity and grace
And gift me with your mortal joys
Of wisdom, beauty, and glory!
Hali to you, Aglaea!

Invocation of Euphrosyne :grapes:

Hail Euphrosyne, Ecstatic Beauty
Reveler of the Kharites!
Daughter of Heaven and Governance
Daughter of Night and Darkness
Granddaughter of the Ocean
Mirthful merrymaker whom joys delight
Blessed goddess with love of song
Illustrious Charity, fair and bright
Who makes rich our souls
Myrtle-crowned dancer
Of sunlit Orkhomenos
Whose light feet step to grace
Frolicking to our songs of revel
O Steward of Heaven’s rites
Who is beloved of poets’ song
Hear my rite this happy hour
Grant me delightful experiences
And gift me with your mortal joys
Of wisdom, beauty, and glory!
Hail to you, Euphrosyne!

Invocation of Thalia :clinking_glasses:

Hail Thalia, Blooming Beauty
Banquet-lover of the Kharites!
Daughter of Heaven and Governance
Granddaughter of the Ocean
Festive and fair-cheeked darling of harmony
Whose flowing love unnerves the limbs
Lovely goddess with gracious glance
Illustrious Charity, fair and bright
Who makes rich our souls
Myrtle-crowned dancer
Of sunlit Orkhomenos
Whose light feet step to grace
Frolicking to our songs of revel
O Steward of Heaven’s rites
Who is beloved of poets’ song
Hear my rite this happy hour
Lay your banquet before me
And gift me with your mortal joys
Of wisdom, beauty, and glory!
Hail to you, Thalia!

I used these to invoke all three Graces and wove a glamour before a work meeting; it worked a charm! I looked ridiculously good on the zoom screen (much better than normal) and was told I looked like I had a halo. The attendees, who can be quite critical, were very congenial. Smashing success!
